Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Through CBT, the client will evaluate how their particular beliefs influence the way they think, feel, and behave. Homework assignments will often be given. Our thinking impacts our feelings and behaviors, which will all be further explored.

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)

MBCT is blend of cognitive therapy (mentioned in CBT above) and mindfulness, which involves reflecting on moments and thoughts without passing judgement. The client pays particular attention to what they are feeling to achieve a desired mindset.

Spiritual Therapy

In addition to the theories listed above, the client has the option to include spirituality into counseling. This can have a religious or non-religious focus. One technique could involve finding a balance in life between physical and emotional health, along with having a greater awareness of self.

Life Coach

This approach helps the client focus on what they want to accomplish for their future. With the help of the therapist, the client will develop a plan outlining how to accomplish their goals, including the small and large changes they need to make. The focus will be on the client's strengths and building on what they are already doing well.
